glassfoundry was founded in 2001 by Ella Nemcow and Jessie Glass. The two friends started out in advertising's classic pairing: copywriter and art director. They began developing identities and web sites for small businesses, emerging artists, and entrepreneurs breaking into the hectic scene that is New York City. Eleven years, six offices, and one cross-country move later, the design shop still specializes in creating logos & brand identities for small businesses.

In 2005, Ella left glassfoundry for a year-long journey around the globe. She has since moved on to found the vegan, organic catering & nutrition counseling company The Regal Vegan.

Jessie continues to wrack her brains at glassfoundry's offices trying to come up with concept-driven, communicative, and handsome solutions to the graphic design problems of small businesses and working artists everywhere.
